On Sunday August 19th at apx 1pm the North Highlands Fire Department along with Philipstown Ambulance and Medic 1 were dispatched to a single car PIAA on Rt. 9 at the intersection of Stephanie lane.

Upon arrival of the fire department they found a single car into a pole with 3 victims with confirmed entrapment. A second medic was requested as well as 2 additional ambulances. Two helicopters were requested and a landing zone was set up at the Fire Department headquarters.

Rt. 9 was closed for a few hours while Central Hudson repaired the poles.
