North Highlands Ladies Auxiliary Retiring From Service.

On January 21, 1970, the North Highlands Ladies Auxiliary was officially organized. Its membership was made up primarily of the wives of the firefighters who served the department. Now, after more than five decades of dedicated service, and with only three members remaining, the Auxiliary has decided that it is time to retire and formally disband.

For the past 55 years, the North Highlands Ladies Auxiliary has faithfully stood beside the members of the Engine Company. They played a vital role in raising funds to purchase equipment and improvements for the firehouse, marched in countless parades, and proudly earned several trophies for Best Auxiliary.

One of their most important roles over the years was assisting the Chief or President at fire scenes and social events. Whether day or night, they prepared and served countless meals while firefighters battled fires, and supported many department events, including popular gatherings such as Las Vegas Nights.

On behalf of the Chiefs and Presidents whom you served alongside, we extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation. Thank you for 55 years of dedication, commitment, and service to North Highlands Engine Co. #1 and the community you helped support.
