North Highlands Fire Department Responds to Multiple Mobile Homes on Fire |

| On Friday June 19th at approximately 1pm The North Highlands Fire Department was dispatched to a reported trailer fire at the Cold Spring Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival, Putnam County Battalion 19 Tom Merrigan confirmed a working fire with extention to the two nearby trailers. Firefighters arrived quickly after to a rapidly developing fire involving multiple mobile homes with heavy fire conditions. Crews immediately went to work deploying multiple hose lines to protect neighboring homes while aggressively attacking the flames. Mutual aid departments assisted with fire suppression, water supply, and overhaul operations to bring the incident under control. Thanks to the quick actions and coordinated efforts of all responding agencies, firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to additional structures. Crews remained on scene for several hours extinguishing hot spots and ensuring the area was safe. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The North Highlands Fire Department reminds residents to ensure smoke alarms are working properly and to have a home escape plan in place. We thank all of the firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, and supporting agencies for their professionalism and teamwork during this challenging incident.
