North Highlands Responds To Multi Car Accident On Rt 9

The North Highlands Fire Department responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle motor vehicle accident that brought multiple emergency agencies together to assist those involved.

Firefighters arrived to find several damaged vehicles and immediately secured the scene, assessed hazards, and assisted EMS personnel with patient care while ensuring the safety of everyone involved. Crews also worked to control traffic and mitigate any potential hazards created by the crash.

Assisting at the scene were Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Putnam Medic 1, Rombout Fire Department, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, whose coordinated efforts helped bring the incident under control safely and efficiently.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Motorists are reminded to slow down, remain alert, and move over for emergency vehicles operating along the roadway.
